A tiny flicker of optimism was on the horizon during the latter part of last week as FoxBusiness.com claimed that the Wilpons’ financial losses from Bernard Madoff were so extreme that they would be forced to get rid of the Mets. The Wilpon family issued a refutation.

This particular season merely isn’t as much fun for the Mets’ rivals lacking the Mets falling apart. My apologies fellows.
